We bring people together to build something greater.
The Ascent Building Group unites talent, ideas and resources. We believe that together, we can create a blend of experience and energy that exists nowhere else.
To spark a revolution that brings the most talented people in America into the construction industry.
To fearlessly improve the lives of people: our customers, our team members and those who live and work in our buildings.

Outside of the office, you can find Brian on the golf course, hiking, relaxing in nature or playing with his three grandchildren.

VP of Business Development, Symtek
In her role with SymTek, Jill Kaufman helps customers large and small to connect with great products, both locally and across the United States through newly developed ecommerce channels. Jill enjoys food & wine, art, music and all things outdoors, each and every season.
Project Coordinator, Madison Custom Flooring
Leah Westphal oversees all the aspects of MCF’s flooring projects, including bidding, managing contracts and building client relationships. Outside of work, Leah enjoys traveling throughout the country.
QBC began in 1998 when four friends saw an opportunity to create a new kind of skilled labor in the Madison construction industry. Building on their knowledge and their passion for doing things the right way, our founders have evolved QBC into a trusted source for framing, finish carpentry and countertop installation that has contributed to some of the biggest developments in Madison.
SymTek opened its doors in 2013 as a single-source provider of high-quality and affordable building materials from around the world. Since then, the company has grown to serve clients throughout the Midwest, including architects, building owners, developers, design teams, general contractors, interior designers and more.
Madison Custom Flooring
Madison Custom Flooring was created in 2016 to offer comprehensive flooring services to customers in Madison and the surrounding area. The company’s vision is to grow into a regional leader that serves commercial, hospitality and multifamily developments for both new construction and renovation.
